Acrylics on paper 14"X10".
Found this really hard to paint as it is so BIG. Never done a close up portrait like this one, had to keep stepping away from it!
This is Colin Firth as Lt Robert Lawrence from the BBC film, Tumbledown. If you've not seen it, it is a truely amazing story based on fact about a soldier during and after the Falklands War. I was very moved by this film and more so by the book, 'When The Fighting Is Over' by John and Robert Lawrence. Actually, i haven't stopped thinking about it
NB: This film is 20 years old now so Colin was young!
